Health – it all comes down to the fundamentals.

Yes, there’s always something higher to aim for, but to get there, you need to stay grounded with a consistent routine. No shortcuts. No next time’s. Your small choices today shape your outcome tomorrow.

No one knows this better than NBA basketball legend Dwyane Wade and his oldest son, rising basketball star Zaire Wade – Thorne’s newest partners.

Two generations. One common goal. Build to last.

Take it from Dwyane Wade – a three-time NBA champion, Olympic gold medalist, 13-time NBA All-Star, and Hall of Famer.

During his 16 seasons in the NBA, Dwyane dealt with chronic knee pain. The experience made him start to appreciate the importance of good health, although even then, he says he was “just going through the motions,” leaving his health decisions up to team professionals.

“When I was in the league, I didn’t really think about my health,” he says. “Sure, I had knee problems, but I was still young and just moving through life. Now I’m more in tune with my body. I ask more questions. I know what it takes to feel good.”

Though he’s now retired from professional basketball, Dwyane is still making big career moves. A businessman, founder, producer, best-selling author, and host, Dwyane stays busy with his many entrepreneurial ventures. And he’s still as connected to the game as ever, with ownership stake in the Utah Jazz and the Chicago Sky.

Dwyane also has a new favorite player to cheer for – his son, Zaire Wade. In 2021, Zaire entered the NBA G League Draft where he was selected by the Salt Lake City Stars. Earlier this spring, he signed with the Cape Town Tigers of the Basketball Africa League (BAL).

The Wade name is a lot to live up to, but make no mistake, Zaire is his own person and his own player. Few people believed in Dwyane before he became a superstar, Zaire says. His father’s basketball beginnings help keep Zaire grounded, reminding him that he “doesn’t need to be a replica.”

“I didn’t grow up with some of the hardship that he did [and] he probably didn’t experience my personal hardships with the world essentially waiting for you to make a move from birth,” says Zaire. “It’s hard to put into words or over the screen ... but no matter how this whole basketball journey turns out, I got him, and he’s got me. Forever.”

And Dwyane wouldn’t want it any other way. With only 20 years between them, the two men have been through life together. Like their professional basketball careers, their health and wellness journeys are personal and unique, but as always, the Wades are there to support each other.

“I always tell him, ‘It’s your career, not mine,’” Dwyane says. “It’s the same story with his health. He’s making the best decisions for him – both on and off the court. I couldn’t be prouder.”

Father and son may have different goals, but both men are at pivotal points in life. That’s where Thorne comes in.
