On July 14th, 2020, NBA star Jrue Holiday announced an incredible gesture.
The Pelicans player will be donating his salary for the rest of the year as an effort to support and advance the causes of social justice organizations in America. In total, Jrue will be gifting more than $5 million dollars to programs dedicated to equality and social change through theJrue and Lauren Holiday Fund. The fund's mission is to empower communities to move forward by boldly creating change when and where it's needed most and seeks to directly support Black-led non-profit organizations and initiatives.
Thorne has been a proud supporter of Jrue and his activism since 2018. Recently, Thorne collaborated with the NBA star to create an exclusive line of limited-edition facial coverings in support of the JLH Fund. These unique masks were created to help spotlight the social inequalities that Black people face on a daily basis in America.
