Professional Statement

OUR MISSION To restore balance and health through courage, connection, empowerment and innovation. Allison Mulcahy, MD is a Board Certified Emergency Physician. In 2014, an experience as a patient changed the way she practiced medicine. As a former Division 1 athlete, and someone who loves biking, skiing and running, years of wear and tear led to chronic knee pain. An orthopedic surgeon advised Dr. Mulcahy that if she didn't stop all weight bearing activity, she'd need a knee replacement within a decade. That prognosis was devastating. She wondered if there might be another way. Dr. Mulcahy realized that regenerative and integrative medicine both offer effective, non-surgical treatment options . Some of the same principles that allowed Dr. Mulcahy to heal her knee - €“understanding the body as a system, seeking root causes rather than just treating symptoms, seeking preventative strategies, and using innovations to harness the body'€™s natural healing potential - can be used to effectively intervene in all kinds of injuries and illnesses. She graduated the University of Arizona's two-year Integrative Medicine Fellowship in February of 2020 and the Kresser Institute's one-year Functional and Ancestral Medicine Practitioner Certification Program in November 2020. In July 2021, she completed a one-year Genomics-Based Precision Medicine Fellowship through Wild Health. She has honed her musculoskeletal ultrasound skills through many hands-on and cadaver courses through MSKUS.com. She has worked in Emergency Medicine since 2006 and founded Boost, a regenerative and integrative medical practice, in 2019.
